Who is Christopher Lee? Well - He is George Bush
Now that the NY-26th Democratic Primary resulted in a victory by Alice Kryzan, we have the Buffalo News profiling her opponent Christopher Lee. So what about Christopher Lee? Well, here is his strategy
His ads are hitting the airwaves, he has raised almost $1 million so far, and he is now ready to face Democrat Alice J. Kryzan on Nov. 4. For Lee, it revolves around emphasizing his business background, espousing traditional Republican values, and battling an opponent he will label as too liberal for the rural/suburban district.
It is all about being a business person.
“It just really bothered me that’s there no accountability in Washington,” Lee said in an interview. “It just seems that the acceptable solution is bickering and partisan politics. We have to get reasonable solutions here to start helping people.
“If you’re in business and you get nothing accomplished,” he added, “you get fired.”
Ouch great sound bite. Which business’ Mr Lee? it isn’t about the business now it it - it is about the bail out, the socialized risk and golden parachute. Fannie, Freddie, ING, Lehman, Bear Sterns, All the rest. Sorry you have to do better than that.
He is against regulation.
He calls himself a “true fiscal conservative,” who wants to get government “out of the way” of business.
“I just go with the experience I’ve had to deal with,” he said. “I ran a business here in the area, and if you’re growing your business, you’re creating jobs, and that’s what people want.”
Regulation eh. Bear Sterns, Fanny, Freddie, banks credit companies.
Then there was this
But where jobs are created could be an issue in the next seven weeks. Lee’s company did extensive business in China, and has facilities there. IMC established operations in China and Japan to capture business in those markets, he said, but never transferred business or production overseas.
But he wants to get tough on China.
“If China is unwilling to play by the rules, we have to use a big stick,” he said.
Yeah - like our Chinese based economy can afford to get tough with China. How exactly will he get tough with China?
Already, Lee is distinguishing himself from Kryzan in many ways. He very much supports President Bush’s tax cuts and does not want to see them expire.
No kidding. More for himself. Because the Bush tax cuts have really benefited our economy haven’t they? They resulted in more borrowing from China - someone Mr Lee is now going to get “tough” with. Yeah, what a crock.
Finally there is Iraq.
On Iraq, he admits the situation there remains unpopular. He supports a withdrawal timetable formulated by generals and not politicians.
See the Politicians, otherwise known as civilians actually control the military. They tell it what to do not the other way around.
Christopher Lee is more George Bush.

You’ll note above that Buffalo Bean, a pro-Lee republican blogger, refers to Alice Kryzan as the netroots’ “sloppy seconds”.
I think that deserves a healthy dose of condemnation.
