BREAKING: Working Families Party Endorses Dollinger

This is huge. The Finger Lakes Chapter of the WFP, along with the WFP State Executive Committee, endorsed Rick Dollinger over Joe Robach in the SD-56 race. More soon, but let me just say that this shows the vision of choosing the future over the past, hope over fear. A little member item money spread here and there vs. a sweeping progressive agenda that will help working families across New York. Wow.

Remember, you heard it on RochesterTurning first.

Other endorsees (I’ll fix the typos later):

Eric Massa - NY 29

Jon Powers - NY 26

Tom Hasman - Monroe County Clerk

Joan Kouhout - Monroe county judge

Gail Gonofrio - Monroe County Judge

Geraci - judge

Cynthia Kaleh - Monroe County Leg

Paloma Capanna - SD 54

David Garretson - Assy 134

Noah Sargent - Assy 129

Susan John - duh, like there was a question

David Koon - Assy 135

Lynne Crawford - town council in Penfield

There’s a couple folks endorsed that haven’t announced yet, but they’re big freaking deals. So we’ll report on that later.

Wow.

Congrats to Rick Dollinger on this much deserved endorsement! Robach has been taking WFP support for granted. It will be a great day when Mr. Dollinger represents us in Albany and helps turn control of the Senate back to Dems.

Congrats to all the other WFP endorsees.

This is especially great because WFP and labor are pretty close, and Robach has counted on labor support for a number of years now. This makes his race look like it could be extremely competitive.

Great news! Looks like the guy that followed on Robach’s coat tails in the 134th district lost out too. Dave Garretson was chosen by WFT in the Greece race. Looks like WFT is tired of “old boys” and “business as usual”.
Wait! Who isn’t fed up with that stuff.

The Working Families Party has proven over the past three years to be the rising star of political force.

Not only do they have the instinct to stand on their principles and choose candidates that truly match their philosophies, they have garnered the support and respect of the community and the electorate, and I predict will soon replace the “C” party on the ballot line in the machine.

Way to go WFP! You ROCK!

I have to say that these endorsements were a proud moment for me, especially Dollinger. The morning of the interview Robach called me, out of his mind, accusing me of supplying Dollinger a list of people to call to stack the meeting. THAT IS FALSE!!! These endorsement meetings were run fairly with the same treatment and time given to each candidate. Actually Robach received 10 extra minutes of time. Also the labor community needs to understand……of the $2.5 million of Robach’s member money he received, labor got how much of it for projects, infrastructure rebuilding, manufacturing, etc.??? I will let you guess ERIC MARTIN WFP Chapter Chairman
