TIna, I'm curious what the outcome was for you because I'm going through something similiar. The hospital billed my insurance around $800 to which my insurance sent them over $7000 which was what the plan maximum was. So the hospital turned around and is trying to charge me a 10% co-pay on the $7000 instead of the original $800 bill. I'm outraged! The hospital already received over $6000 more than the original bill and now they want me to pay 10% of what the insurance paid... not what was billed. I called my insurance today and they are going to call the hospital to work this out. I guess I will wait and see.

"Why" has not been answered. All we know, after a team of FBI agents and forensic IT specialists spent months investigating this, is "What" and "How". One can only speculate about "Why". We may never know.

Two years, wow.

What I don't understand is why a, "...a closely-connected group of gay congressional staffers on the Hill, many of whom once worked for openly gay Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank...", a fellow democrat would have done this?

I knew Eric and had the opportunity to talk to him in many settings both formal and informal. Eric never struck me as the type that would run from any fight as long as he had the truth on his side. He was afraid of no person as long as he held the high ground.

I voted for Eric.

And what does everyone have against Tom Reed except that he is from the other party?

Two years. Wow. I was thinking about Massa the other evening. This is the most Shakespearan (sp?) thing I ever saw occur, involving my native Steuben County. Massa did the truly unbelievable. The man, through sheer energy and persistence and yes, volunteerism of hundreds of believing and sacrificing citizens, managed to a ) oust an incumbent Republican in this rock-ribbed district; b ) oust someone who in fact is a native and lifetime resident of the district (with some baggage from his State Senate days, yes, but nonetheless always easily re-elected with significant majorities); c ) did this in a PRESIDENTIAL turnout year (I think). Hundreds--no, thousands--of citizens were free-thinking enough to break pattern and crossover to the man. We likely will never again see a campaigner of his tenacity and energy. And oh: d ) he had lived in the district only since2000, I think. I mean, this is incredible. I hope he has landed on his feet. Yet, he is so stained and disgraced...who knows. Ricalto, a Hornell native sad to say, sounds ruthless, by the way. The final irony? I think--think--that, had circumstances allowed it (or even BEEN APPLICABLE), someone who had been such a proven Congressperson, after a re-election or two, could even have "come out" and still won. It would have been a cliffhanger, but these are enlightened times. So sad, however, for his entire family. Does anyone know what he is doing? THANKS FOR MAKING NOTE OF HIM ON THIS SAD ANNIVERSARY.
