Assemblywoman Susan John not seeking reelection
Not that it matters - given the party balance in the State Assembly but Susan John is not seekign reelection after serving 20 years. Any ideas who could/would run for her seat?

In a statement released Tuesday, John said she is grateful for the opportunity to serve in the New York State Assembly for 20 years.
“Together we have used the legislative process to make positive changes for all New Yorkers,” John said in her statement, “I am blessed to have participated in our system of government as your elected representative.”

One rumor I heard had the republicans thinking about putting Chili Supervisor David Dunning up for that seat.
There are not many viable democratic candidates from the suburbs so I would look for someone from the City leading to a city v suburb race. Of course if the dems maintain the majority you can look for Dunning to jump ship
He is not one to let principle stand in the way of advancement
I’m just happy that this is one incumbent who won’t be going back to ruin Albany.
Albany needs fresh people.
I have heard that there is a guy in Chili running. Ken Kraus. Young attorney. Interesting.
