O Holy Night Christmas Prayer Edition
As we begin the new year, let us pray. Let us pray, and raise money. Let us pray, and raise money to fight sexual anarchy led by sodomites. Pastor Rick Scarborogh of Vision America sent an email pleading for donations, claiming that Barack Obama “may not even be legally qualified to be our President,” and declaring that Scarborogh has been called to stop our nation’s “slide further into Communism/Socialism” as well as fight the “sexual anarchy led by sodomites who will not stop demanding more until they have destroyed every semblance of public morality.” You just gotta love the feeling of love and brotherhood in the air at Christmas.
Let us pray that the health care bill goes our way. Let us pray that one of the senators “can’t make the vote tonight.” Let us pray that Senator Byrd dies soon. Republican Senator Tom Coburn made this vague-but-troubling remark on the floor of the Senate during the cloture debate:
Too vague for you? Here’s the straight-out explanation, from a conservative blog post titled “All I want is a Byrd Dropping for Christmas.”
… it’s time for Senator [Byrd] to do the right thing, and expire.
It isn’t too much to ask for Byrd to step off for that great klavern in the sky before the Senate vote that may force this nation to accept government-rationed health care. Even a nice coma would do.
Without his frail, Gollum-like body being wheeled into the Senate’s chambers to cast the deciding vote, the Senate cannot curse our children and grandchildren with crushing debt and rationed, substandard healthcare.
I suppose some will be shocked and appalled that I’d wish for the former kleagle to die on command. I’d remind them that the party wheeling in a near invalid to vote in favor of this unread monstrosity of a bill is the one that should feel shame.
What would you give President Obama for Christmas… a one-way ticket back to Kenya? concern for human life? another country to destroy? Obama-hating website WND (you remember them, they’re the crazy birther people) unveils it’s first annual Christmas wish list for the president. The three examples above are only a small sampling of suggestions from WND readers.

The misuse of religion to try and score political points was perfected by the Republicans under Reagan, and has now morphed into something even more malicious and insidious than the 90s-era militia groups that sprung up to halt the ZOG/OWG/NWO.

There was a call to C-Span yesterday purporting to be from a distraught tea bagger in Georgia who was worried that their tea bag group’s prayers for Senator Byrd’s death, in response to Senator Coburn’s suggestion, had backfired and had mistakenly harmed Sen Coburn’s colleague from Oklahoma Sen Inhofe, who failed to show up for one of the cloture votes. There is a lot of blogosphere debate as to whether the call was legit or a prank, but either way, it’s remarkable, not only for the content of the call but also for the facial expressions, not only of Sen Barasso, from the Cheney wing of the Wyoming GOP, but also of the moderator. How far we have fallen that they react to a call and a caller like this as if they could be legitimate. http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/12/tea-partier-calls-c-span-worried-his-prayers-for-byrd-to-die-got-inhofe-instead.php?ref=fpb
