2010’s Wingnut party to end all wingnut parties will feature conservative heartthrobs Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin in February. If there is still any interest in what Palin has to say, it won’t be reported. The media is already banned:

Thank you for your interest in being present for the First National Tea Party Convention to be held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN February 4 -6, 2010. Press will be allowed in a designated section of the lobby of the convention only and will not be allowed inside the convention. There will be no media allowed for the banquet with Sarah Palin.

Ho, ho, ho. Before I go shopping, I like to consult my blacklist of Retailers who Hate Christmas. It’s okay to ignore The Gap and Old Navy on the anti-Christmas list… they are about to go pro-Christmas. Gap Inc, which owns both The Gap and Old Navy, persuaded American Family Association to stop their boycott by promising next week’s Old Navy commercial will feature their mannequins shouting “Merry Christmas!” That’s to make up for The Gap commercial promoting “whatever holiday you wanukkah,” including winter solstice… thereby equating Christian holidays with “Wiccan withcraft celebrations,” according to AFA. Here are the lyrics:

Two, Four, Six, Eight, now’s the time to liberate
Go Christmas, Go Hanukkah, Go Kwanza, Go Solstice.
Go classic tree, go plastic tree, go plant a tree, go add a tree,
You 86 the rules, you do what feels just right.
Happy do whatever you wanukkah, and to all a cheery night.

Go Christmas, Go Hanukkah, go whatever holiday you wanukkah.

Okay Atheists, are you happy now? The War on Christmas continues.   The Borough Council of Chambersburg PA voted unanimously to remove the Christmas Nativity Scene… after atheists asked permission to place a sign nearby.

The unanimous decision from Chambersburg Borough Council came after Carl Silverman, director of the mid-state chapter of PA Nonbelievers, asked permission to place an atheist-oriented sign on the fountain, near the nativity scene.

The sign, which he said has not yet been made, would have had a picture of a sun rising over the words “Celebrating Solstice. Honoring Atheist War Veterans.” The sun would have had an italicized “A” in the middle.

In response, council decided to replace its existing policy, approved in December 1995, with one that bans all adornments and messages from the square, except for those that do not violate any law.

The nativity, which was placed by the Chambersburg Garden Club, must be taken down as soon as possible. According to Thomas J. Finucane, flowers and the American flag are the only things that meet the new requirements.

Gee, what would we do without Rush. He’s the only one who remembers that global warming evidence was never suppressed during the Bush administration, and it was for our own good anyway, so it was a  good thing that they suppressed it.

Rush, don’t confuse yourself with the facts, such as this recent news report:

The Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday released a long-suppressed report by George W. Bush administration officials who had concluded — based on science — that the government should begin regulating greenhouse gas emissions because global warming posed serious risks to the country.

whats the big deal about a commercialized Christmas anyways - these wingnuts should be upset that Christmas has become just another retail mainstay and not the “Holy Night” it could be for the faithful…man do they plug their energies into the wrong outlet or what?

I was wondering when the war on Christmas would begin. I thought it began on Thanksgiving when retailers started swapping out the Thanksgiving displays for Christmas displays.

    Unsustainable consumption.
