Help me understand this …..
Seriously - I don’t get the how these stories came to be.
1. Dana Perino gets a job in the Obama Administration. Pending Senate confirmation, the former GW Bush Press Secretary she will be on a board overseeing overseas radio broadcasts.
The BBG administers overseas media outlets like Voice of America, Radio Free Europe and Radio Free Asia. Created in 1994, the agency “works to serve as an example of a free and professional press,” according to its Web site. It is funded by taxpayers and had a budget of $717.4 million in 2009.
2. Sarah Palin book tour stops at Fort Bragg. I have no problem with Sarah Palin stopping outside Fort Bragg but on a military base? What exactly is the reason other than hawking her book. I mean it isn’t like she is running for national office or anything. She gets to stand in the spotlight earned by a failed VP run and early resignation as Alaskan governor - why does she get get to stop at Ft Bragg. How many other book authors stop on Fort Bragg?

I have no clue about the Palin issue, but my understanding of Perino’s appointment is that there was an opening on one of the designated Republican seats on that board-so Obama had to appoint a Republican.

So now we are going to jump on her for the location of her book tour stops? She is a free american and can stop anywhere she wants. It is almost to the point of rolling on the floor laughing at how deranged the left has become. What is next that she “can’t do right”?
I have a challenge …. attach her on her stance on the issues. Or are you worried that she will make you all look stupid?

That she is a “free” American doesn’t mean she can travel to where ever she wants? Seriously you’re a “free” American too and you try going to Fort Bragg or Fort Hood without authorization let alone hosting a large event on base. It simply doesn’t happen. Sarah Palin is not on a USO tour is she? She is on a book tour enabled by the light of failed VP effort and early resignation as Alaska’s governor.
I wish Ms Palin all the success in her GOP pursuits. I really do.
I just don’t think a political event or potential political launching point should be on Federal property.
She can travel anywhere she is allowed to. If it was an issue with the base they would tell her no. I don’t think that you need to take it so personally.
