Both the ACLU and Capital One are pissing me off

For different reasons, but still -

ACLU - Jesus Christ, how persistent do you have to be?   Every year I donate to the ACLU - it is a great organization.  I also donate to the Southern Poverty Law Center - they keep track of the real wingnuts and hate mongers.  In fact, I’ve encouraged others here to do so as well.  I will admit that there is a certain satisfaction that comes from pulling out my ACLU card during heated conversations with my wingnut friends.  The look in their eye when they realize, “the card”, from the expression,”card carrying member of the ACLU”, actually exists, is precious.

So, in December I donate. Well, the ACLU starts mailing me solicitations in September then starts calling.  I’ve received 2 or 3 calls in the past couple of weeks.  Got another one last night.  Make it stop, please.

Also what’s up with the matching gift campaign.  I got two letters - one form the matching donation activity and one asking me to renew.  The matching funds thing has to be some gimmick, I mean, are the people who supply the matching funds NOT going to give the funds?

But I will reserve my wrath and scorn for Capital One.

My family does not do business with Capital One.   We are on the “no call list.”   So why has my cell phone been called twice in the last week?  Other cell phones in my household have been called looking for me as well. These people don’t take no for an answer.  Ugh.

So -a pox on Capital One’s house -here are are the complaint forms.  One more call - I’m calling the Attorney General.

The ACLU - I’ll send you a check already - stop calling.  Please.
