Our representative democracy at work-Maine’s got nothin on NYS

Anne Tischer just sent me this video of a town-hall with Senator Maziarz (operative syllable-arz).   He doesn’t even look at Anne when he “answers” her question.  This is what we’re up against.  His non-answer gets applause from the crowd. (H/T to Anne and Bess):

I’m not going to write too much about it, except to say, what do these “queers” really expect?  I mean do they really think they deserve the same protection, under the law, as everyone else?  Where would they get an idea like that?  The Constitution, maybe?

Maziarz is just another dipstick politician who is playing to his base — and it is very base

I agree…I had this discussion with someone yesterday - GOPer’s play to the God, Guns and no gays crowd while Dems play to the feel good, tree hugger, socialist crowd…

As a libertarian I say any consenting adult should be able to enter into any kind of contractual agreement (to include marriage) with any other consenting adult that they choose - Government should be out of the marriage game all together, privatize it and recogniz that private institution for what it is…a legally binding agreement between adults
