Mandate? That’s a joke. Obama is more like the rebound date following a bad relationship. Now that reality has set in, his is sinking in the quagmire of his own making.
I like Mike. He’s always makes me smile and laugh.
I know. 60 seats in the Senate, a huge majority in the House, a majority of Governors and state legislatures, winning the electoral college by more than 2-1 and an enormous margin in the popular vote… it’s hard to describe this as anything other than a mandate for progressive change. No presidential candidate and political party can brag about such widespread success in modern history. The “rebound date following a bad relationship”: 2006 maybe, but not 2008. I’d prefer living in the State of New York rather than in a state of denial.
