Signs of Change at the D.C. Health Care Rally
Check out these signs from the HCAN rally June 25. Which is your favorite?
Yep - Hey Congress - move on Health reform!
Hoosiers for Health Reform! All the way from Indiana to D.C
if it is good enough for Congress…
Out of college, no job or a job with decent benefits, too old for parents health cover (if they still have it).
That is Adrian Campbell on the left.
Loved this single Desperately seeking sign… You will recall Laim and Jackie. Jacki was all excited she was going to be on youtube. I mean really excited.
Finally - the blue dogs seem to get what they want- why not progressive Democrats. All we need is a block of 40 to ensure a sensible public option is on the table and goes forward. I spoke briefly with this women - she was not a happy camper with regards to Blue Dogs in general.
A few more below the fold…
These folks were walking the grounds s talking to anyone that listened which was everyone I saw them with. As I’ve said before , we are all on the same side here -
Yea - no kidding. No one without Health Care
At the end of the very long day - still smiling.

I like the signs that were missing.
“You can’t fix our roads, bridges or schools - how do you expect to take care of all our bodies?”
or
“Remember Katrina? We want you in charge of health care.”
or
“We want Amtrak-level health care.”
or
“What harm ia several more trillion dollars in debt?”
Properly funded, national healthcare would fare just as well, or better, than Social Security or Medicare, which I don’t hear a lot of complaining about (except by those with a hidden agenda of destroying “common good” type entities. Amtrak has been routinely underfunded. Katrina was criminally botched by an administration which (like Monroe County government) was staffed by cronies. Roads and bridges - you mean like the bridge collapse in Minneapolis where transportation funding was vetoed by GOP Governor Pawlenty in the name of “smaller government”?
You get what you pay for– an exception being the ever-crappier coverage we get from our ever-more expensive health insurance.
Right again MikeWNT, they were taking it easy on the republican failures of the past…

By the way, stlo7– thanks for the on-the-scene reporting. It’s nice to see SOME quasi-news outlet reporting on something that happened that day other than Michael Jackson’s demise.
