(Update from SAME press release:
Tax Day illustrates some of the discrimination same-sex couples face. Millions of married heterosexual couples rush to send in jointly filed tax returns. Committed same-sex couples however, even if married internationally or in their own states are subject to the draconian “Defense of Marriage Act” which denies them all federal benefits given to other married couples. Plus they are forced to file as individuals, with negative tax implications.
“Same-sex couples pay significantly more in taxes and get none of the 1138 Federal benefits and protections that the General Accounting Office says are attached to legal marriage.” said Anne Tischer, SAME coordinator “This leaves gay families vulnerable financially. Disparities in things like Social Security survivor’s benefits, pensions, estate taxes, workers compensation benefits, long term Medicaid spousal budgeting, bereavement benefits, immigration rights and family leave protections have serious consequences for those we love.” )

I would, but apparently you have physical appearance standards that I certainly don’t meet.
Why, are you packing?
Woodie and Laddie, that’s quite enough. It started on Wingnut Watch and now you brought it over here. I’m afraid that you are both distracting the others. You know, those who are serious and here to learn. Do we need to separate you two?
Just for clarification, will there be teabagging at the Post Office?
