Wednesday Wingnut Watch
As if there wasn’t already enough going on behind closed doors with Republicans and their supporters. As the Republican grip on Monroe County weakens, a circle-the-wagons, hunker-in-the- bunker mentality seems to be taking hold. The latest nutty hazing technique, er, demonstration of loyalty? Tattooing.
In 2008, Cook demanded that any politician carrying the Conservative Party endorsement demonstrate their loyalty to him by getting a tattoo. Within weeks, every elected Republican in Monroe County obediently visited the tattoo establishment.
Each of them now sports a secret and permanent sign of their devotion to the conservative machine. For most Republicans, it is a small symbol tattooed to their upper arm or ankle, which can be discreetly displayed when necessary. Others, such as Cheryl Dinolfo (see photo) have gone further. Reportedly, she wanted “Rush” tattooed on her right shoulder, but she’d already put something else there. It is rumored that some Democrats visited the tattoo establishment, too.
Ditto-heads say, “We want Rush to fail.” Well, not really. The Bee is making this this up. Mount Rushmoron is as popular as ever. He’s even got himself a cute girlfriend. Maybe some of the ditto-heads are jealous and want them to break up. Yeah, that’s it. Jealous ditto-heads want Rush to fail with his girlfriend. If you want to see some flat-out gossip with no other redeeming value, go ahead and read about Rush’s love life.
