Town Government
The Irondequoit Town Board will hold a special meeting next week to address the proposed Payment in Lieu of Taxes, also called PILOT, agreement for the Medley Centre.
The meeting is slated for 5 p.m. Monday at Irondequoit Town Hall, at 1280 Titus Ave.
School District
The East Irondequoit Central School District Board of Education will address the agreement as part of its regular meeting on at 7 p.m. Monday at the East Irondequoit Central School District Administrative Offices, 600 Pardee Road.
COMIDA
There is a public hearing on the PILOT agreement scheduled by the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency at 7 p.m. March 16 in the Broderick Room, at Irondequoit Town Hall.

I think it is fair to say that the hearing at the town hall has the potential to be a true dog and pony show with little opportunity for substantive discussion. It’s scheduled for 5 - 7 pm, but is starting with a “presentation” so that we can an “informed discussion” about the PILOT. The board is planning on voting on the PILOT (and there is absolutely no indication that any one on the board will be convinced to vote no) at the same meeting. So between the presentation, position statements by the board members and the vote, how much time will there be for public input? And to what purpose? So we can vent to a board that has already made their decision? The only way that the board will hold off on this vote is if literally hundreds of people show up and/or call to express their opposition. I just don’t see it happenin’
