Take Jack Davis… please! And keep him, GOP

Thanks to The Albany Project for this nugget. Jack Davis, the Republican-turned Democrat, the build-a-higher-wall to keep Mexicans away from our American Jobs industrialist, the man who paid canvassers to collect signatures to create a new 3rd party for himself and then botched his own paperwork, the man who did more to elect Christopher Lee to Congress, than, hmmm, Christopher Lee, the man who marched, er, drove his car in parades, the man who tried to bribe his way onto the Independence Party ballot line, the man who paid all of his campaign expenses because nobody else would contribute a penny, the man who tried to buy votes one gas tank at a time, the man who took his case to the Supreme Court and won the right for rich dudes to outspend their Clean Money opponents …. yup, THAT Jack Davis… might be getting ready to switch back to Republican.

Over at TAP, Robert Harding’s reaction:

Not that I’m in the business of consulting the Republicans, but I would be a little concerned if this switch goes down. The last time Davis switched parties, it was because he paid money to see Dick Cheney and never got a sit-down with him. That led to him becoming a Democrat and the disastrous three runs for Congress on the Democratic Party line.

I know some Democrats might be upset because Davis isn’t around to cut them checks anymore, but this is a great day for our party if this turns out to be true.

As the song goes, hit the road, Jack, and don’t you come back.
