Keeping Fuel Cell Technology right here in Rochester

Today would be a good day to call Chuck and Louise.  Fuel cell technology was invented, right here, in Monroe County.  It is continuing to be developed, right here, in Monroe County.  Let’s make sure that it will be produced, right here, in Monroe County.

Our local UAW has a great website where you can read up on this.

Then, go to your phone and call the DC Switch board @1-877-331-1223 and ask for Senator Schumer’s office and Congresswoman Slaughter’s office:

Please let them know how much we appreciate the efforts they have already put forth securing our future!

And that we need their continuing support.!

The jobs we save (create) may be our own!

(Look for an interview with UAW local 1097 president, Dan Maloney, Wednesday or Thursday)

I added my voice to this! Senator Schumer and Assemblyman Koon’s offices were more talkative about this issue, than Congresswoman Louise’s Office was.

This is an exciting chance for Rochester and Monroe County! My fingers are crossed as my family members NEED JOBS!!!

Everyone should get on this bandwagon…NOW!

You’re so right. This is a wonderful opportunity for Rochester and also a great chance to show what kind of impact the netroots can have on these initiatives.

Advances in fuel cell technology have been made in Honeoye Falls, but fuel cells were actually invented in the 19th century (cf. this ). I’m all for jobs in the area and just add this in the interest of accuracy, not because I’m in Ontario County…

I had the pleasure of meeting several members of UAW Local 1097 last year. They are honest, hard-working people who deserve any break they can get. Hydro-cell production in Rochester would be good for them and good for the rest of us, too. Please help them out by making the phone calls.
