Maggie on COMIDA & Ren Square
Maggie is always welcome in Greece, if no place else. Maggie recently spoke at a Greece Kiwanis meeting, saying “Greece is at the forefront of what we do.”
She pumped COMIDA and Ren Square, of course:
Government has been able to foster business retention and growth with the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, she said, calling it the “most powerful weapon” of the county.
Brooks also talked about the Renaissance Square project at East Main Street and North Clinton Avenue in Rochester…… “It’s the project everyone loves to hate sometimes,” said Brooks.
COMIDA, AKA most powerful weapon for job growth in Monroe County, recently okayed two Greece (AKA forefront of what we do) projects, remodeling at Wilmorite’s Greece Ridge Mall, and construction of a new medical office building.
Really, if COMIDA is the best weapon we’ve got, I don’t think we’re aiming it at the right target! This month, COMIDA helped a landlord buy trucks and a landscaper buy snow-plowing equipment. Really, are these the best job-growing ideas we’ve got?
