County Exec Brooks draws down Campaign Funds

- Maggie Brooks has about $68K Cash on Hand per the latest filings.
- 230K went to the Monroe County GOP
- 12K per month to Wahl Media.
- Biggest Contributor? Rochester Malls LLC (subsidary of Wilmorite) 10K. Yeah, big surprise there.
Interesting.
If she has an interest in State or Federal office better start raising cash. Still This probably means the fight for the Monroe County Legislature is on hence the transfer.
Wonder how the Democrats are doing?

Well if the amount of the transfer tells you anything, the Democrats are doing just fine.

That 230k transferred to the County GOP is gone. They spent that giving 100k each to Robach and Alesi. They also gave over 150k to Dinolfo, which spent their remaining balance. As of Jan 15, the County GOP has $55k in their campaign account and $42k in their housekeeping account. That’s not very much at all.
As recently as July 15, 2008 the GOPers had $280k in their campaign account and $108k in their housekeeping account. This means the County GOP coffers went from a combined $388k in July to $97k in January.
I’m sure the Democrats have been planning since last election how to gain the one seat that gives them the majority which will enable them to implement all of their well planned policies, while assisting them in creating a unified voice. They’ve probably got all the potential candidates lined up, funding at the ready. Right? Tell me I’m right. Please, don’t tell me…no…not again….
