Ren Square: Schumer Supports Maggie Brooks’ Fast Ferry

Chuck Schumer got fooled again:

Senator Chuck Schumer and the county are close to an agreement on moving the Renaissance Square Project forward without the full funding in place. The agreement said the county can go ahead and build the new downtown campus for MCC and a new bus station, both of which are already funded. They still need $55 million for the performing arts center.

“If they don’t do the art center part, most of the money that will go to Renaissance Plaza will be either state money or federal money so it’s a good thing in a time like this because it’ll create some jobs,” Senator Schumer said.

Jobs? Maybe some construction jobs for some of the ROBUTRAD folks.  But as far as I’ve heard, there’s been no mention of permanant jobs created.  Has Schumer gotten punk’d again?
