Where Is Monroe County Going And What Is It Doing In This Handbasket?

The Monroe County Leg Dems will be holding a presser this morning for their opening salvo on Maggie Brooks’ budget. Given the shenanigans Brooks and the rest of the Monroe County GOP have been pulling with the budget over the years, I’m sure that 800-page budget has a lot to work with. My impression has been, it’s all about confusing the public and patching up the holes with short-term solutions.

Just bridge them to the next election– beyond that, they don’t care. I mean, they voted along party lines to move the budget release date until after the election. (Well, two GOPers voted against it, but they were severely disciplined and have voted along party lines since then.)

Why was moving the release date till after the election so important to them? What are they trying to hide? Why don’t we see these questions being asked in the traditional media?

If they are asking about it, and I haven’t seen it, please point me to the reporter or editor asking it, so I can buy them a coffee.
