Can We Do A New Favorability Poll?

Back in October, the D&C, WHAM-13, and WDKX did a favorability poll on Mayor Duffy and County Exec Maggie Brooks:

A recent poll shows him with an 85 percent approval rating overall, and most respondent said he’s doing not just a good job, but an excellent job. The high marks for Rochester’s Democratic mayor are up regardless of the respondents’ political affiliation, age or residence.

Sixty-four percent of respondents said Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks is doing a good or excellent job. The Republican’s rating is respectable, experts say, but dipped from 71 percent last year and fell off noticeably among Democrats and in the suburbs.

Man, what I wouldn’t give to see the cross-tabs on that poll. More on this soon.

Compare/contrast with City’s Best of Rochester:

Best Politician

Robert Duffy

Best Politician in Need of a Slap to the Head

Maggie Brooks

Looks like Brooks’ PR shine is wearing out.
