Eric Massa receives endorsement of The Corning Leader
Both Exile at TAP and Rotten at Fighting29th have this story up. (Thank you to Rotten for this file.) From Exile’s post:
It’s worth noting that their endorsement of Massa is about four times as long as the D&C’s endorsement of Kuhl. Rather than relying on empty shorthand about “local focus”, it actually discusses the differences between the candidates in depth.
How true! We were all shocked, a week ago, with the D&C’s small mindedness and flawed logic. It’s good to see the Corning Leader showing some intellectual depth.
They end the endorsement with this:
Lastly, we like Massa’s fiery personality. He’s intense - maybe a little too intense at times - but that’s not necessarily a bad trait at a time when so much change is needed in Washington.
Kuhl, on the other hand, has grown insular, changing his town hall format and avoiding some public appearances and debates while preferring to operate under more controlled settings. He’s also become deeply partisan as demonstrated by his comment that the Democratic majority wants the American public to suffer and hurt.
Well, yeah.

Wow! The Corning Leader’s traditionally a conservative-leaning paper! To endorse Massa? That shows some amazing clarity.
The first post title I thought of when seeing this was “D&C Ed Board Taken To School By Corning Leader”.
