In Case you missed it…
Welcome to this weeks version of In Case you missed., it. There are 15 days and a wake up left until the election. 15 days folks - Do not let up. The watch word needs to be relentless.
Let’s get to it shall we
NY-29th Massa V Kuhl
The first debate came and went the previous week and we caught up with Eric Massa who assessed his first debate performance, as well as, previewed what was in store for the second debate. There was this media wrap-up of debate # 2.
Rothenberg upgraded the race to Toss-up/Tilt Dem. Kuhl released polls.
On Oct 13. we highlighted that the DCCC was still a no show in NY-29th when compared to other races. Meanwhile, his campaign released a new ad hammering Kuhl on Social Security then the DCCC released this ad on Oct 15th.
Check out what seems to be micro-targeted anti-Kuhl Ads. We are still wondering what forced Randy Kuhl to move his money around.
New York State Races
btp reminds us, just like last year, of the benefits of flipping the legislature. The D&C Editorial board takes a pass and refuses to endorse any incumbent for State Senate or Assembly. They did endorse Capanna and Nachbar for Senate.
Alesi backs out of a debate because he is working as a Senator when the Senate is in recess.
Assemblyman Joe Morelle has a huge war chest that is looking for a war. Release the hounds Joe.
The Dollinger Campaign released this ad. Got on a good lawn sign tha stresses the down ticket aspect of this race and features Obama, Gantt and Dollinger. Mayor Duffy can’t seem to take a stand on endorsements. Airbare captures Robach’s greatest moments.
Short Takes
Paul Krugman wins a Nobel Prize.
Previsous Monroe County Voter Registration records are smashed.
Candidates sign the Pledge for Change.
There is actually a town race in Henrietta.
Obama is winning new York per the polls. A nice consolation as I drive by all the McCain Palin signs. There was preview of the final presidential debate (Yeah, can we vote yet?). The Joe the Plumber Story cracked under pressure. Which is fine because you got introduced to Kenny from Oz. See, Kenny peddles in the stuff that Joe and by extension the Mccain camp is spewing.
Why is electing progressives important?
We interviewed Dan Maffei. Part I, Part II, and Party III along with video. Of course, Dan said thanks to you for all you do.
Jon Powers finally endorsed Alice Kryzan.
Cheryle Dinolfo releases some really weird lit
Dave Garretson pays his taxes.
