McCain’s last stand?

The DownWithTyranny blog has a great write up about McCain and what to expect from tonight’s debate. There’s a sweet visual over there, too, so I hope you will jump on over and check it out.

Conventional wisdom has him reaching out to the older white voters, the last group of dependable voters to have started to move towards Obama, in states like Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Florida… even Arkansas. Early voters are breaking so huge for Obama that Inside the Beltway prognosticators are in shock.

I don’t think anyone is expecting too much from him, other than the vicious desperation mudslinging that has characterized his campaign as of late. There’s also a nice little graphic that shows that voters, other than the 25 percenters, just ain’t buyin’ it anymore (Palin-speak).

If you scroll down a little farther, they also make reference to the, “Make-Believe Maverick”, article from last week’s Rolling Stone. Well worth your time to peruse-here’s the link.

So, what do you suppose McCain will do after he loses? Rio, anyone?

Gee, I don’t know, probably the same thing as Senator Clinton did after losing in the primaries and John Kerry did four years ago, and just about every other US Senator has done in the past 200 or so years - go back to the US Senate.

wormwood-welcome back. I thought you had left us for some other leftist blog and now they were having all the fun.
Read the RS article and then answer the question. I was just getting all mavericky ;)

I didn’t ask, but thanks for sharing. I’m not sure what a “Missions trip” is, but it sounds rather altruistic. Care to share more?
