NY-29 - Hey, DCCC what the Heck are you waiting for?
29 days and counting down.
Seriously. The DCCC pledged to spend $2.7 million dollars in the three competitive races that affect the Rochester area thus far -(even with color code)
NY-25 (open) Dan Maffei vs Dale Sweetland
NY-26 (open) Alice Kryzan vs Christopher Lee
NY-29 (Kuhl) Eric Massa vs Randy Kuhl
We have seen already DCCC attack ads against Christopher Lee and Dale Sweetland.
Here are the independent (read DCCC expenditures) Thus far.
NY-25 - $144,570.64
NY-26 - $289,549.48
NY-29 - $8,576.20
That’s not a typo for the 29th - Per swing state project there hasn’t been an example of DCCC expenditure since August. (click here and scroll to the appropriate race)
OK - do the math - That is about $450, 000 spent. There was $2.7 million dollars pledged leaving over $2 million dollars to spend - assuming the DCCC decides to spent it here in WNY.
With regards to the NY-29th are we going down the same path of too little too late?
When I wrote the post announcing the ad buy I wrote this
Oh - Yes they still have to deliver but right now the DCCC gets to say I told you so
Now is the time to ask - What’s up DCCC?
Related posts:
They did this to Massa last time - lots of promises, no delivery. That’s one reason to donate directly to your candidates instead of theDCCC.
Chris Van Hollen needs to get his act together
Just from what I remember from working on campaigns there is one more poll done by the DCCC usually mid-October then the ad blitz begins. Hopefully they spend some of the promised money on Eric; if they don’t it will be their fault he lost, not his.
Ghost– you’re hired. Check out the breaking news above.
