In Case You Missed it…

it’s Sunday

Time for the, Oh boy what a week, edition of In “Case You Missed It”. Let’s get started.

NY-29th Massa v Kuhl

Massa has a new Ad. Meanwhile, Kuhl cancels a debate appearance. Kuhl has an Ad claiming he single-handedly saved the VA hospital in Canandaigua. Exile reminds us that he really did single handedly save a bowling alley. Finally Massa calls out Kuhl on healthcare.

County Clerk - Tom Hasman v Cheryl Dinolfo

Identity theft is making it into he news. Funny, where is the mention of Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo’s failure to remove SSNs from the County Clerk’s website? Tom Hasman, her opponent, has a process to remove them now. Meanwhile the County Legislature takes on the issue in October.

SD-56th - Dollinger v Robach

Debates! Robach agrees to debates. Agreement without details is called running out the clock, but it is a step in the right direction I suppose. Robach sends out a questionable mailer. We wonder aloud where is Rock Dollinger?

NY-26th- Primary

Leading up to the Kryzan’s primary victory, the Buffalo News blasted Davis for inaccurate ads. In more bad news for Davis, his “Save Jobs” party was disqualified and he is appealing the ruling.

In the end, while, RT was on TV discussing the primary, the favored, Powers, lost. Other news outfits offered these headlines and we offered the first, initial analysis, certainly not definitive. We also questioned Powers’ statement that he was considering a run on the Working Families Party and in what seems like BLAZING speed - the DCCC added Alice Kryzan to their Red to Blue list. Finally, looks like Powers decided not to pursue the WFP line afterall.

Sarah Palin crowding out John McCain

The Sarah channel continues. As additional facts come out about her and her administration like costing the City of Wasilla an extra $1.3 million dollars. We wonder when Hillary will ramp up on the campaign trail. There was this video and we have to console ourselves wit SNL’s Amy Poehler. Of course there was Triumph, the comic Insult dog’s take on the RNC convention as well.

But Palin is about distraction.

Other Races

Mini round-up

Talk about full circle, Maggie Brooks only needed the GOP majority in the legislature to ram her illegal plan (the unFAIR plan) and now she needs the Legislature to support a settlement with the schools.

Meanwhile, while our elected officials in Albany are silent about RenSquare funding, Maggie Brook’s lobbyist speaks for them.

The economy continues to hum along in the wrong direction. And Fannie and Freddie again illustrated how we privatize profits and socialize risks. Another bail out?
