Polls Closed in New York - the Countdown begins
Haven’t seen it officially called but I’ll call it Kryzan wins in a stunner
Kryzan - is calling herself the little engine that could.
Update 1
Well - WHAM13 is reporting that if nothing odd happens - Alica Kryzan will win. I’ll post some numbers in as sec. Big Surprise here- but really? With Davis and Powers crushing each other Alice Kryzan positioned herself as an alternative.
Monroe County 100% reporting (Kryzan - 1194, Powers - 1059, Davis - 759)
Wyoming County 100% reporting (Powers - 366, Kryzan - 258, Davis - 228)
Niagara County 96% reporting (Kryzan - 1669, Powers - 1393, Davis - 1163)
Erie County 97% reporting (Kryzan - 5018, Powers - 3378, Davis - 2047)

More as we know it
Got back from an eye exam earlier this evening and my eyes are still smarting. I was going to head out and make the rounds but sort of difficult to see. Anyway - forgive the typos
Who will it be?
Results for the NY-26th (Monroe County)
I’m looking for a link with complete results
Here is a link from rNews - This one looks better
Addendum: The Livingston returns were Powers 939, AK 446, 267 for Davis. Apparently, Livingston County rocks!

yikes. Should I be worried that Alice currently holds the lead?
That link is only for the Monroe County portion of the district I think.
Full results can be found here…

Nothing is posted yet though.
No.
Another question - is the link you provided just for Monroe county portion or the entire congressional district?
oops…sorry for posting before I read the other comments.
As of 9:27 Alice is leading in both the Monroe County and Eric County tallies
ok, so I still shouldn’t be concerned? She has a big lead.
I don’t know…her lead looks to be holding to me.
looks like maybe she is benefitting from flying under the radar.
Powers should have answered Davis’ charges. Davis figured he wasn’t going to win and he torpedoed Powers at the same time. I’m not fond of what I hear about Alice and don’t know that she can win the general.
What have you heard?
here’s the Wyoming County BOE link - http://www.wyomingco.net/BOE/County.htm
Gave money to Tom Reynolds. Doesn’t support marriage equality. Was the lawyer on Love Canal’s side in court. Honestly, I guess I don’t know that much, so hopefully she isn’t too bad. I don’t see myself working for this one right now, but of course since I’ve never supported a winner, Alice is probably breathing a sigh of relief.
With almost 70% of the vote in Alice has a thousand vote lead. I think she’s gonna win.
82% of the vote in now….and her lead has gotten bigger.
I take comfort in knowing that at least it’s not Jack Davis. I’ll get past my disappointment enough to hope Alice wins in November, I’m sure. I honestly think I’d be rooting for the Chris Lee in Nov. had Jack won the primary.
Great job with the links tonight. And nice summary too.
I like Kryzan, but I like Powers more. In November we will have Kryzan on Dem line, Davis on the Indy line and Powers on the WFP line. I hope that split doesn’t hand it over to Lee.
By the way, I hear that Kryzan may have reconsidered marriage equality.
That would be good if someone could get confirmation on her view point on that. With Davis showing his true thoughts over the last week or so (doesn’t believe in global warming, supports Bush economic plan, doesn’t support marriage equality, etc…), any chance he could actually split the vote with the Republicans?
Hard to say — what’s happened tonight convinces me I know nothing about what will happen in local races.
Foumerelle (sp?) is on the Indy line…as of today Jack doesn’t have a line.
Word.
I can only guess that turnout demographics skewed in a odd ways.
I personally liked Alice Kryzan. Heard a rumor she’d be on Lonsberry Monday and caught it. VERY well spoken–she’s a former environmental attorney so she knows the environmental issues. Research on my own says she’s well liked and respected in her work and doesn’t burn bridges
Thanks Hep - added it

Great. I have to confess I don’t know that much about Kryzan. She didn’t reach out to bloggers the way Powers did (not a criticism) and she wasn’t endorsed by so many of the towns and counties. Foolishly, I viewed the race as Powers vs. Davis. But from what I’ve heard, Kryzan is a solid member of the Democratic wing of the Democratic party. So I wish her the best.
