What did you think of the Convention last night?

I didn’t catch all the convention - but from my perspective things that jump out are -
Michelle Obama - haven’t heard her speak before and color me impressed. It struck several chords. Crisp, positive and on target.
Then there was confirmation that David Brooks really is an idiot - when he said something to the effect that McCain is like Teddy Roosevelt. I almost had to call 911as I was laughing soo hard. McCain = T Roosevelt. Please….

Michelle Obama - good job. Too bad it was on so late for East Coasters.
Ted Kennedy - a tear jerking moment
The Hillarites protesting - come on PUMAs, what’s it prove? You only help reinforce a negative picture of the Democratic Party in some people’s minds.
Pelosi - really lame speach - and still stinking after the misrepresenting of Catholic teachings on Meet the Press and subsequent backlash from U.S. bishops, Archbishop Chaput of Denver, even members of the House!
Michelle was awesome. The repeated line about America the way it should be left a lasting impression with me.
Michelle was an incredible speaker and clearly demonstrated that she possesses so many of the qualities that many Americans want in a First Lady - (though they probably don’t want them in this order) - intelligence, compassion and yes, beauty and style.
Ted Kennedy was wonderful. I agree - a tear jerker.
Caroline Kennedy was a bit disapponting because she has intense beliefs often reflected in her writing, but although comfortable addressing the crowd and the nation, she didn’t do it with the power I expected.
It was fun watching crowd reactions to Pat Buchanan and Rachel Maddow, and even Rachel Maddow’s reaction to Buchanan.
