Democratic Convention Opens - RT is there
We have been in touch some some members of the NY Delegation who will periodically be filing reports from the floor. We are still working out the bugs but before they got on a plane yesterday they filed this report.
Call me a geek, but I remember watching presidential conventions as a little girl and thinking “I wanna be there!” Back then I had no idea what the difference between a Democrat and a Republican was, but I learned quickly … after all, it was probably the year Richard Nixon was elected when I was having thoughts of wanting to go to a presidential convention!
Well, tomorrow, that childhood dream comes true. I am going to Denver as an Alternate Delegate to the Democratic National Convention and will be sharing that experience with you! The schedule of events is overwhelming and I imagine I will be very busy. So, I will probably only be able to give nightly updates.
