Maffei still number one….

Chris Cillizza over at the Washington Post has a blog called the Fix which among other things ranks where Chris believe the top House turnovers will be regardless of party.

1. New York’s 25th district (R): The beat goes on for 2006 nominee Dan Maffei (D) who came within 3,000 votes of upsetting Rep. Jim Walsh (R). Walsh’s retirement sent Republicans into a tizzy from which they never recovered. (Previous ranking: 1)

According the to the Maffei campaign

That makes it 8 months in a row at the top of that list… give or take a few.

We have 5 GOP seats up for grabs in New York State. Maffei makes one. Vito Fossella’s old seat makes two and is also up on the list.

3. New York’s 13th district (R): New York City Councilman Mike McMahon looks certain to roll in next month’s Democratic primary even as Republicans still seem divided about their candidate — former Assemblyman Robert Straniere. And, did we mention that the current Republican incumbent was chased from office due to an infidelity scandal? (Previous ranking: 7)

This is a great list to be on to be sure

The next question is how do we ensure Massa and Powers are added to this list?
