Tom Hasman Website Helps People Get Their Info Off the County Clerk’s Site
This morning I was tooling around Hasman’s website and found that they have created a really helpful page that submits a request to the County Clerk’s office. What does it request? That the clerk’s office look for your personal info (like Social Security Number or birthdate) on their website, and remove it if they find it.
Why does it take a guy that hasn’t even been elected to the office to provide this service to constituents? I guess this is what leadership looks like.
It makes me wonder, if he’s looking out for people this much while just a candidate, what could he do once actually elected to the clerk’s office?
All of this begs the question– after weeks of publicity, why hasn’t our current County Clerk taken our personal data offline while they are supposedly scrubbing it?
Here’s the link. I encourage everyone who’s worried about identity theft to use it.

And why hasn’t the Hasman campaign put out a press release about this??? As we progressive Christians say, “Don’t hide it under a bushel” and all that.
she won’t do it now because it will show her admitting/correcting a mistake her opponent pointed out. pride over service. i think you christians have stuff to say about being overly proud as well, right?
You mean pride, as in, the thing that goeth before a fall? I think there’s gonna be some falling in the fall, based on that.
I can’t decide if Cheryl is too pigheaded or too incompetent to do her job. Either way, it beyond time that Ms. Dinolfo be shown the door.
Go Tom! Great addition to the website and a great service to the people of Monroe County.
I put my request in last night. Curious to see how many of us actually get replies.
Excellent!
I can envision a campaign mailer. This time around Cheryl Dinolfo is the terrorist giving away Social Security numbers to identity thieves.
…or Cheryl Dinolfo giving away identities to terrorist thieves, and Eliot Spitzer suing to stop her.
