Cheryl Dinolfo: setting the standard for personal irresponsibility

Checkout this Messenger Post article about the on-going privacy violations over the the County clerks Office.

DiNolfo said she was disappointed that this issue was brought to the media’s attention before it was brought to hers. She said anyone seeking to have their social security numbers removed from the Web site, may request that and the office will comply.

Further, she said, she has never heard from law enforcement that anyone has used the numbers to commit a crime.

Um, didn’t the Democrats say that they notified the Clerk’s office in 2007?

Now she says people have to ask to remove SSN, This assumes they actually know to ask.

But that last sentence is more than rich.

Further, she said, she has never heard from law enforcement that anyone has used the numbers to commit a crime.

Um do those people even know their identity is/has been stolen?

What I find amazing is that some how Ms Dinolfo attempts to shift responsibility for security people’s data outside her office. That is called irresponsible.

As I said before Loss of Privacy is the cost of doing business with Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo

I was thinking a similar thing. Cheryl Dinolfo seems to embody two ills that plague our society (and Rethuglican governance in general): lack of accountability, and lack of competence.

Nevertheless, I will write a nice polite letter asking that any social security number associated with my name be removed from the County Clerk’s website.

I would just like to send a huge note of thanks to RT for staying on top of this situation, something that our local media has failed to do. Thank you, again, for asking the relevant questions, also something that our local media will not do.

Seriously, if all it took was a phone call to get the personal information removed, then why the hell is it still up there. She admits that she has known all along about the SS numbers but does nothing. This is a dereliction of duty.

Thanks again, RT. Another instance of bloggers doing more REAL reporting than the traditional media.
