I always hate it when very high-ranking Republicans like the president use the term "Democrat" Party, when in fact no such party exists. I think they mean "Democratic" Party, but it doesn't rhyme as easily with "Rat." It always seems so childish and immature.

That having been said, I'm not a high-ranking elected Democratic Party member. So don't mind me if I indulge in a little bit of hypocrisy. Let's stop calling it "Freedom's Watch," and instead call it "Freedom's Crotch."

By the way, they aired plenty of ads during the three special elections where Republican members had retired- including the Don Cazayoux district- and we still won them all. They were supposed to be the new big, bad Republican hitmen (a la Swift Boat veterans for Truth), but time and time again they have displayed that they have been an utter failure.

That's correct about the listing.

I'm not sure the ads will be smears. I do think that independent expenditure ads are generally not as effective as ads from the candidate or Congressional and national committees.

Think you read that incorrectly, lakiddo-- the list states the district first then candidate name, then comma. And, actually, I'm concerned. Smears have a way of acquiring a life of their own in the echo chamber-- does not take much to get them going.

I guess if they're targeting Eric Massa, running in New Mexico's 1st, then we don't have too much to worry about here. ;-)
