In case you missed it…

Welcome to the 3 months and a Wake up edition of In case you missed it. 3 months to the election so what’s going on?

Federal

We are within 99 days of the election so things are heating up. Nasty commercials against Obama. MoveOn releases a new ad. Airbare sums up the national scene rather nicely. Ted Stevens Senator from Alaska and, pending conviction, could be giving the expression “a series of tubes” a whole new meeting from a jail cell - was indicted. Then there is Frank Rich who, well is Frank Read of the NYT and simply sees things like Obama’s Trip to Europe with such clarity.

Locally the Star Gazette reprints BS about Eric Massa. Randy Kuhl tries to right his stance on SCHIP but get called on it. Massa earns Republican endorsements. Of course, there was what was not shown on local TV but we have video of Sherman Moreland and General John Batiste.

The Independence Party Chairman resigns. Why? Well Seems there was a payola issue with Jack Davis. Speaking of Davis, he goes hard negative. Hard Negative and it is ugly. A new Web Site - the Batavian - takes on Jack Davis as well. TAP catches up with John Powers. There is good news for most of the Democrats trying to take a WNY seat.

State

Dave Garretson shines a light on GOP party leader and State Assemblyman Bill Relich’s record. See - Monroe County is #1 on Foreclosures and Relich voted against measures to aid homeowners. Dollinger and Nachbar blast Dean Skelos and Senate Republicans on Taxes. Robach isn’t answering Dollinger’s calls for a debate. Is Mayor Bloomberg going to bankroll State Senate Republicans?

The Attorney Scandal hits WNY. More importantly Frequent Commenter Louis reminds us that when someone puts self interest above the office they hold - they deserve the price to be paid.

David Paterson delivers bad news on the budget and we discuss options. Of course Maggie Brooks cries unFAIR because she is affected by The Budget cuts then takes it out on kids.

Paul Riordan announces his State Supreme Court Candidacy.

Local

RenSquare is in trouble again. City News tells us we get the Sprawl we ask for. We discuss double dipping pensions. Maggie visits the kids at camp and we have a report. It isn’t’ pretty.

The Democrat and Chronicle gets well deserved new focus. Frequent syndicated Columist Victor Hanson gets smacked. Actually in this case, so does Tom Tobin deservedly so. Heck, So does James Lawrence as his editorial shop drags Obama through the D&C’s gangsta rap shtick.

Bill Press gives RT a shout out as 950AM continues its march towards Sportstalk.

We discuss progressive infrastructure and message as we continue to share our Netroots Nation experience. Jeffrey Feldman gives us a lesson in Framing.

Airbare did a great job pulling together what RT was writing about in July 2007.

I was surprised at the stunning silence this post generated. Was it that bad or simply numbing?
