Massa education plan

Massa unveiled his education plan yesterday. F29th summarizes thusly:

  • Replace privately-funded student loans with low-interest, federally-financed student loans with low interest rates.
  • Forgive student loans of students who perform five years of a public-service job, such as teaching, firefighting, policing, social work or nursing.
  • Create incubator projects similar to those in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, or in Boston, to grow local business.

I think these are all great ideas. I have always believed in particular that the economic future of this area depends on our success at adapting to a Boston/Raleigh/San Francisco intellectual capital model.

F29th also has notes from Massa’s press conference yesterday, which discussed this and other issues in detail.
