Observations from Austin, ladkiddo checking in
Descending from the clouds, touching down in Austin, I remarked to Stlo7, “At the risk of sounding Hoakie, this is a really beautiful world”.
It’s easy to miss, but when you’re 30,000ft above the earth and the landscape appears below the sky scape, you realize that the Human Race, although we have impacted the world like no other, is still only one species among millions.
The wooded mountains and hills give way to the lowlands and ultimately the city comes into view making me realize that maybe one really can see the forest for the trees-if one just looks.




If possible, y’all should go to Esther’s Follies on 6th Street while you’re there. Also, have a purple margarita at Baby Acapulco on Barton Springs. Warning, they are good, but deadly

If I was 30,000 ft up above Texas I would remark that “Somewhere in this great land, a village is STILL missing it’s idiot.” but that’s just me…nice shot though.
