In Case You Missed It…

Welcome to the “If it wasn’t for Bad news we’d have no news at all edition” of In case you missed it

It was a bad week….

It was a bad week for Progressive talk radio in Rochester as 950 AM is going to change its format August 1st. Yeah there is some conflicting information but in the end, the station told the folks coordinating with a visit by Bill Press that the local affiliate 950Am is changing its format. The date I was told is August 1st.

Of course, you can still call the 950 switchboard and express dismay.

It was a bad week for citizen representation as it appears in light of GOP strongman Steve Minarik - it is business as usual at the GOP legislature. The D&C had the details.

Maggie admits defeat and folds up the FAIR plan. The devil is in the details of course which haven’t been released. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile after the Constitution gets kicked in the groin with the passage of telecom retroactive immunity provision of the FISA act just passed by Congress. The ACLU steps in and sues. See they understand, all too well that the Constitution applies equally to everyone and you can’t pick and choose to ignore certain sections.

Jack Davis gathers local media attention by this gimmick subsidizing gas to the tune of $27,000. The D&C served up some decent quotes. The good news is local folks got gallons of gallon at a cost of them of $1.50 per gallon. The bad news of course is that feel good fill up won’t last a couple of weeks.

You talking to me?

Meanwhile RT speaks to MCDC chair Joe Morelle. Bruno speaks the truth about leaving office? Golisano speaks to people who want his money.

Bill Nojay - Mr Credibility himself - speaks on McSames “promising” prospects in New York.

Congressional round up

Massa speaks to Randy Kuhl’s supposed VA plan as well as and Energy Plan. His campaign gathered more signatures than last year. Jon Powers speaks on the radio.

If you are a member of the NY GOP Congressional Delegation - it was a bad week as Airbare points out - NY 13 and NY 25 are upgraded favoring the Democratic candidate.

DCCC buys ads $35 million dollars worth (with promise of more) a portion of which is scheduled to of to one NY race - NY-13. But they said they can change it.

Yo, DCCC, there are are 3 races right here in Rochester, a cheap media market. One of those races you are supporting a primary candidate - all races are on your red to blue list. What’s up?
