Jon Powers weathers the storm in Stafford, NY

Stafford, NY—It may have rained on the Stafford Firemen’s Parade tonight but that didn’t keep Jon Powers, Democratic candidate for Congress in NY-26, from getting out and meeting voters. We were caught in a deluge coming from two directions when the parade began but Powers literally weathered the storm along with his volunteers. Powers really wants this. If he will work this hard to reach voters in a storm, imagine how hard Powers will work for voters once elected to Congress.

Additionally, Michele Iannello, 10th District Erie County Legislator who is also running for State Senate in the 61st District was marching in the rain, as was Joe Mesi, also a State Senate candidate in the 61st District.

The Democrats stayed in to the finish line with not a dry thread on them. It was an exhilarating experience.
