A good day for the dark side in Mendon
Remember Minarik’s Mendon Massacre?
Well, now everything has been set to rights with the installation of a new Mendon Committee leader in the form of Muffy Meisenzahl. According to the Mendon-Honeoye Falls-Lima Sentinel (no on-line link, sorry):
Mr Minarik apparently has found the magic bullet. Members have been chosen and the first meeting is scheduled for this week. Muffy Meisenzahl was picked to lead the committee at least until September of 2008.
Muffy had an extensive political presence in Honeoye Falls as a member of various commissions and as mayor of the village. She is now heading the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management. She is well known for her quiet demeanor and unruffled approach to any endeavor she accepts. This challenge will be no exception as she has in view, “an open atmosphere for the committee in order to help rebuild the Republican trust we once had”, she stated. “The process needs to be open, in order to find changes that will enable the committee to attract good candidates and help them to be elected.”
I hate to admit it, but maybe Minarik actually got something right here. Muffy is a class act. I don’t believe she has a vindictive bone in her body. She is warm and open and approachable and I don’t think she’ll put up with any crap from the flotsam and jetsam in the committee.
The most welcome and promising vision she has for the future of the committee is the promise of open dialogue with the community and members of the comittee.
Hey, I believe her. She almost sounds like a Democrat.
