Working Families Party endorses Jon Powers

WORKING FAMILIES PARTY ENDORSES JON POWERS FOR CONGRESS IN NEW YORK’S 26TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
Endorsement secures place on November ballot for Powers
In a show of continued momentum, Jon Powers secured the backing of a key political party in New York’s 26th Congressional District. This past weekend, the advisory committee of the Working Families Party in Western New York recommended Jon Powers to their State Committee for the Party’s endorsement. After presentations by all three Democratic candidates, Powers walked away with the endorsement over Jack Davis and Alice Kryzan.
The Working Families Party is a grassroots community and labor based party which promotes policies geared toward middle-class and working-class New Yorkers. “My campaign is about bringing the voice of hard working Western New Yorkers back to Washington, D.C. I am thrilled to have the support of the Working Families Party and look forward to working with their grassroots activists to help bring affordable health care and new jobs opportunities to the district” said Jon Powers, former Army Captain, Iraq War Veteran, and Democratic Candidate for Congress in New York’s 26th Congressional District. There are almost 40,000 registered members in the New York State Working Families Party with over 1,600 members registered in NY-26.
