A comprehensive Vito Fossella update
Liz Benjamin has a great rundown of all the angles on the Fossella story over at Daily Politics. The bottom line is that Fossella is resisting calls to step down or at least decline to seek reelection. It seems to me that there’s no way he can win in November so the Republicans need to get him out as quickly as possible.
Anyway, there’s a lot of good stuff, so much that I don’t have time to summarize it. So just go over to Daily Politics if you’re as into this story as I am.
Exile I cover Fossella’s race over at NY13blog. Last week I launched VinoFossella.com. While Liz has a decent run down she rarely if ever links to other news sources who have broken parts of the story, thus it is just a Daily News run down of their own coverage.
First, I envy you, NY13.
Second, I changed my mind on Vito today. He’s going to have to resign. He had his gumar convinced that he was divorced, so she’s going to react bitterly and cling to a microphone and a National Enquirer check while she spills her guts. He apparently took her on multiple taxpayer-financed junkets. He’s toast.
And he was probably one of those leading the charge against Spitzer…
