Back on the bike, one thing leads to another

Yesterday was the first day I rode my bike to work. It was between 30 and 40 degrees, but proper equipment made the ride acceptable. Unlike last year, I didn’t get unceremoniously introduced to the hood of a car.  So, my bike helmet hanging on a wall leads to a conversation about biking and some guy at work says -heck- I live about the same distance as you do and I can ride too. So we use the Internet and plot a route. I show him a spreadsheet I use to track progress - he laps it up and says he is going to ride too.

This is the same guy where we had a group thing at work and I needed something to wrap a present, so I wrapped it in a Wegman’s reusable bag. Anyway - he now swears by them. He proceeds to tell me stories about how useful they are, and so on.

Sometimes people just need to see someone else doing something.

I’m on my bike, too. It gets great mileage.
