Kuhl claims “I don’t like the idea of building future debt for our children.”

Just when you think you’ve made it through an entire news cycle without a quote from a politician who should know better, little gems like this one pop up.  While pondering what on earth he will do about the gas tax, Rep. Randy Kuhl said “I don’t like the idea of building future debt for our children.”  Really?

What about the war in Iraq, which builds future debt for our children at a staggering, mind-numbing rate daily?  What about voting against the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which would help to insure millions of kids?

This is the most unbelievable of all mock concern statements I’ve read in a while.  Here’s Kuhl’s voting record if you want to see what I mean.

Maybe Kuhl means that he doesn’t like the idea of building future debt for our children but he doesn’t mind the actuality?

Wow, what nerve.

Here’s another piece of the story that shows incredible nerve by John R. Kuhl. He is quoted in the piece by the Hornell Trib as blaming the Democrats for doing nothing about gas prices. But wait … wasn’t John R. Kuhl and his Rethuglicans also in Congress during this time? Yes, he was! What has John R. Kuhl done about high gas prices? I’m not sure … but I do know he voted for a Dem sponsored bill, “H.R.6: An Act to move the United States toward greater energy independence and security, to increase the production of clean renewable fuels, to protect consumers, to increase the efficiency of products, buildings, and vehicles, to promote research on and deploy greenhouse gas capture and storage options, and to improve the energy performance of the Federal Government, and for other purposes.” But of course, IOKIYAR, its still the Dems fault. Had such a bill been passed way back in say 2001 (before John R. Kuhl was in Congress), or even 2005 (when John R. Kuhl joined Congress), imagine how much better off this country would be now in terms of reducing our dependence on foreign oil. But clearly from 2005 (when R was in control of Congress) until 2007 (when D took control), John R. Kuhl and his R buddies didn’t pass such a bill. I guess using his logic in the Hornell Trib article, the lack of such a bill is the fault of John R. Kuhl and his R buddies.

Has John R. Kuhl introduced any bills, or co-sponsored any bills on this issue? Well … um … okay, my mad internet skillz aren’t mad enough to figure this one out. I guess I have to give John R. Kuhl some slack here until I can figure out how to go about doing this search, much as I hate to give him any slack at all.

Word! (whatever that means)

Do you have any idea where I could look up (do a search) to find out all bills introduced by or sponsored by our good friend John R. Kuhl?

I don’t understand, GA … that web page, which I found myself using my mad internet skillz, only lists three recently introduced bills by John R. Kuhl. It doesn’t show more than three recent ones, I want to see all the bills he has introduced or cosponsored.
