More on Mendon GOP Shakeup
The D&C has a decent article on the forced resignations of the entire Mendon GOP committee.
Well - looks like there is more trouble in ParadiseMendon, as apparently a GOP elected official “was seen” campaigning with Democrats. Rut Roh. But the piece says that SAME person is being consulted with by Steve Minarik as to who should stay on the Mendon GOP committee. Something doesn’t smell right here. Have fun - here it is, buried on page 4B.
Minarik’s visit to the committee was preceded by a letter the town committee sent to Minarik on Feb. 11, seeking the removal of Roy Cluff as a committee member.
Cluff is a town councilman and one of the elected officials with whom Minarik said he is consulting in determining who should stay.
Cluff is out of town and unavailable, according to someone who answered the phone at his home.
According to the letter, Cluff was seen campaigning with Democrats and placing campaign signs for Democrats on his lawn.
The letter was signed by the chairman of the town Republican committee, Phil Mattaro, and the town Republican leader, Ron Federico.
Oh, to receive a copy of that GOP committee letter. HINT HINT HINT.
