MCC Prez Patronage Appointment: The Juggernaut

Things that stop the county GOP from making a patronage appointment:

  • rules
  • public opinion
  • public trust
  • common good
  • mass public demonstrations
  • fear of the D&C Ed Board not endorsing them (yeah, right)
  • common decency
  • hell
  • high water

Here’s a timeline I threw together, showing more clearly than words how the GOP-controlled board of trustees is doing its darnedest to ram their guy through, in spite of the best efforts of the search committees and others.

Amazing. I can’t believe they’re so desperate to get him in the job, in the face of all this opposition and bad publicity.
