Congress, anyone? NY 25

From Channel 5, Syracuse, the Republicans continue to scramble for a taker:

We’re following developing news in the race for the 25-th Congressional District.
CBS 5 just learned that former Chairman of the Onondaga County Legislature, Dale Sweetland is expected to announce he’s interested in running. Republicans are scrambling to fill the position after front runner Peter Cappuccilli dropped out of the race for health reasons earlier this week. This is a seat held by long Republican Congressman Jim walsh who announced he is retiring.
The republican will face off against Democrat Dan Maffei, he almost beat Walsh two years ago. We will be following this story all afternoon and have the latest beginning at 5:00.
