Jon Powers on Greece and Parma endorsement

This just came in from Jon Powers’ campaign:

“It is great news that I will be the endorsed candidate in Monroe County, but I am not going to take anything for granted,” said Jon Powers, former captain in the U.S. Army, Iraq War veteran and Democratic candidate for Congress.

“I plan on reaching out to the other towns in Monroe County and engaging in the same conversation that I am having with voters all over the district.”

Powers now controls the endorsements of 6 of the 7 counties in the district and two of the four towns in the one hold-out – Erie County. He is the only candidate in the race who has received an endorsement.

“Jon is definitely the strongest candidate among the Democratic candidates,” said Chad Kyler, Leader of the Parma Democrats. “Jon is out there working hard for the district and because of his efforts he has received the Parma Committee’s endorsement.”

John Gerken, Powers’ campaign manager, had this to say:

The campaign is thrilled to have such a strong showing. We look forward to enlisting the Greece and Parma Democrats in the Powers Platoon and bringing a strong grassroots campaign to the 26th District.
