Locked out of Tom Reynold’s Office

Lost in all the scandal ridden Tom Reynolds news was a group of protesters were locked out of his office as they tried to present a petition about the war in Iraq. Now read on - it is really pretty funny what happened.

Here is the deal - Wednesday was the 5th anniversary of the Iraq war. There were protests across the country including a small one at Tom Reynolds office.

Meet the supposed scary protesters. (h/t dg)

Protesters locked out of Tom Reynolds Office

Well - in their own words (with slight paraphrasing).

They walked into the office and saw the receptionist was on the phone. GreenTV (Greece Public Access) also arrived with a camera. The constituents walked in to the office. the Receptionist, who was on the phone, said no recording while she was on the phone. The group presenting the petition said they go outside until she was done.

Well, the crafty receptionist got up, locked the door behind them and hid. Funny part was no was knew until a A Greece Police car pulled up.

The officer said the receptionist called and said they were trespassing. The group explained explained about the petition. The officer knocked on the door to get the receptionist attention. He didn’t have any better luck than they had. No answer.

A second officer arrived shortly afterwards, with a slightly different story. Now, supposedly, it was the landlord, not Reynolds’ office, who was demanding they leave.

Yep real menacing people aren’t they.

Boo

Now where have we heard about locked offices before?

When I tried to get an interview with Randy Kuhl or a staffer at a SCHIP demonstration. All I got was the Congressional equivalent to “talk to the hand” except with Kuhl it is “Talk to the handle”. The locked handle.
