Breaking: Reynolds is Out
I guess we won’t have Tom Reynolds to kick around.
Just in from Liz Benjamin.
Yet another retirement by a House Republican is imminent. GOP sources confirm that Rep. Tom Reynolds (http://reynolds.house.gov/) , a Western NY Congressman since 1999 and ex-NRCC chairman, will announce around noon tomorrow in Buffalo that he will not seek re-election this fall. Reynolds spokesman LD Platt did not return an e-mail seeking comment. Reynolds, who is also a former Assembly minority leader, has been pushing back against retirement rumors for some time now.
Looks like the NRCC scandal has taken its toll

This really is unbelievable… Upstate has the best chance to turn completely blue ever now. That was the toughest seat in our region to turn, but now who knows.

I just heard the same thing said on NPR this morning.
IT indicates to me that the republicans think they are going to be skunked in the November election.
Besides the money scandals I don’t think Reynolds wants to be subordinate to the same folks he effectively bullied in past years.
