Greece Wins Assessment Award, Assessor Guilty of Fraud

This is funny/sad.  From a reader:

The Town of Greece has received for the 6th year in a row (this is amazing) the Excellence in Assessments” award from the NYS Office of Real Property Services.  Yup - the same Town of Greece who’s Assessor just pleaded guilty and whom others involved in the scandal are awaiting trial!  Check this as well - the towns awarded are granted up to $10.00 PER PARCEL for continuing their “excellence” by the state!

Only in “mobbed-upGreece Town leadership can being guilty of something = excellence.  Too much.

Isn’t it time that John Auberger was called to account for his actions in this scandal. He has been playing th Reagan defense, but that doesn’t work. Either he knew and he has a role in it or he didn’t and failed to do any proper oversight.

Neither alternative relives him of blame
